Four bicycles were stolen from around Annapolis this week, three of them despite being locked.
Two red men’s Schwinn Beach Cruiser bicycles were taken from the unit block of Brewer Avenue sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10. Police reported that both bikes have white accents and racks over the rear wheels. The owner told police the bikes were secured to a tree on the side of the residence with a chain, which was also taken.
Someone stole a silver Motobecane bicycle from a vehicle bike rack in the 1400 block of West Street sometime between the evening of Oct. 9 and the morning of Oct. 10. The owner reported that the bicycle has the phrase, "Made in France" and a City of Poughkeepsie bicycle license on the frame.
Someone cut a lock and stole a black specialized mountain/cruiser style bicycle from the 1500 block of McGuckian Street sometime between the evening of Oct. 9 and the morning of Oct. 10, according to a police report. The bicycle has the word, "specialized" in red on the frame, red tape on the hand grips and a black metal rack over the rear tire.
