A Naval Academy midshipman faced cross-examination during a hearing Thursday to determine if three fellow midshipmen will be court martialed on charges of raping her.
Tra'ves Bush, Eric Graham and Joshua Tate are facing an Article 32 hearing to decide whether a court martial will move forward on charges of rape and making false statements.
Some of the questioning Thursday was about the victim's sexual history, Reuters reports.
The three, all Navy football players, are accused of sexually assaulting the victim during an off-campus party in 2012. The woman was intoxicated, and it was not until the following morning that she learned about what had happened through friends and social media, according to a Reuters report. Her attorney has said one of the players told her not to assist investigators. The case was closed, then later reopened when the victim contacted an attorney.
Cross-examination by the other defense lawyers is expected to continue through the end of the week, according to the Associated Press.
