An Annapolis couple was home when someone broke into their house in the 900 block of Windsor Avenue on Tuesday evening, according to Annapolis police.
The couple was in their bedroom on the second floor when they heard footsteps coming from downstairs around 11 p.m., police said. The pair went to investigate and told police they noticed a rear window was open and so was their back door.
The couple reported that they left the window open with its screen shut before going upstairs on Tuesday night.
Police said a Canon camera, two Canon camera lenses, a white and grey Coach purse and a brown tri-fold wallet were taken from the couple's coffee table.
