Annapolis Crime: 3 Incidents of Shots Fired in Eastport

The following information was supplied by the Annapolis Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

The  (APD) provided the following information on recent incidents in the city.

On April 24, 27 and 30, police responded to three calls in Eastport for the discharging of firearms. In the first two incidents, unoccupied vehicles were struck. A bullet went through the front window of an apartment in the last case. There were no injuries.

Theft from Vehicle: 900 block Forest Hills Ave., between 11 p.m. April 24 and 9 a.m. April 25. Prescription medication, an iPad, an iPhone and $30 were reported stolen from a vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle: unit block Windwhisper Lane, between 11 p.m. April 25 and 3:30 p.m. April 26. Someone rummaged through the glove compartment of an unlocked vehicle. It is unknown if anything was taken.

First Degree Assault: 600 block Rosedale St., 5:50 p.m. April 27. Annapolis resident Patrick Elliott, 35, was charged with assault after he allegedly pointed a gun at a man and told him to leave the area, police said. Police later located Elliott, who allegedly appeared intoxicated, and charged him with first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

First Degree Assault: 1800 block West St., 12:30 a.m. April 29. Two men were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a fistfight. One man fell to the ground and the other man, identified as Lanham resident Vincent Catlett, 43, allegedly continued punching and kicking the man in the head and upper torso, police said. Catlett was charged with first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. The other man was transported to te Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.

Theft of a Scooter: 600 block Island Creek Court, between 2 p.m. April 30 and 1 a.m. May 1. A scooter was reported stolen from the backyard of a residence.

Theft from Vehicle: 100 block Roosevelt Court, between 8 p.m. May 1 and 6:20 a.m. May 2. A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle.

Theft of Bicycle: 2000 block Bay Ridge Ave., between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 26. A bicycle that was left leaning against a tree was reported stolen.

Theft from Vehicle: Area of Burnside Street and Severn Avenue, between 5:45 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. May 2. A lunch box and a pair of prescription eyeglasses were reported stolen from a vehicle. The passenger side window was broken.

Theft from Vehicle: Area of Duke of Gloucester and Compromise streets, between 5 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. May 2. A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle. The passenger side window was broken.

Theft from Vehicle: 900 block Primrose Road, between 7:30 p.m. May 1 and 5:30 a.m. May 2. A GPS and two iPods were reported stolen from a vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle: 2000 block West St., between 7:20 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 3. Lug nuts were reported stolen off a vehicle.

Burglary: unit block Milkshake Lane, between 7:20 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 3. Jewelry and change were reported stolen from a residence. The burglar entered the house through an unsecured window.

Robbery: 1200 block Forest Drive, 5:20 a.m. May 4. Two people approached a man from behind and demanded money, police said. The man complied and the robbers then ran away toward Tyler Avenue.
