Annapolis Police Report 2 More Thefts from Cars

Residents are highly encouraged to lock their vehicles at all times.

The Annapolis Police Department is continuing to warn residents to lock their car doors, after two more thefts from cars this week.

Police said someone stole a ThinkPad laptop computer and Panasonic Lumix digital camera from an unlocked car at the 700 block of Severn Road. It happened sometime between 3:15 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Also, police reported that on Monday night or Tuesday morning, someone stole $220 and a wallet from an unlocked car at the 300 block of Washington Street.

Police said there has been a general increase in the number of such thefts in the Annapolis area.

"Remind your friends and neighbors, DON’T leave items in your vehicle and DON’T leave your vehicle unlocked," police said.
