A Laurel man has been charged with stealing five copper heat exchangers worth an estimated $10,000 that were waiting to be installed at a Davidsonville restaurant.
The theft was reported on Feb. 18, by an employee of the Killarney House Restaurant, 584 W. Central Ave. in Davidsonville. Police were told five heat exchangers were stolen from a shed on the site.
The exchangers were to be connected to new solar panels that had not yet been delivered to the restaurant.
Detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Metal Theft Unit led the investigation and subsequently arrested Jesse Lee Bryant, 29, of the 3400 block of Old Annapolis Road in Laurel.
He has been charged with fourth-degree burglary and theft between $1,000-$10,000.
