A robber with an eye patch walked away empty handed Tuesday after attempting to rob a man with a knife, according to a police report.
Police said a man was approached by the suspect in the BB&T Bank parking lot in Annapolis. The suspect initially asked for a cigarette. But when the man said he did not have one, the suspect asked for money.
When the man again declined, the suspect said: "Show me," pulling out a camouflage folding knife, police said in a report.
The man pulled out his wallet, showing the suspect he had only $1. When the suspect suddenly turned his head to look behind him, the man ran away and called police.
Police arrived and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described in the police report as a black male, approximately 35-45 years old, 6-feet tall, with a medium build, and wearing an eye patch over his left eye.
