A man who reportedly hid inside a Glen Burnie Kentucky Fried Chicken so he could rob the restaurant after it closed is being sought by Anne Arundel County Police.

Officers were called to the KFC store about 9:05 p.m. Thursday, June 5, where they spoke with a store employee who said the suspect had a handgun. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect left through the side entrance of the store, located at 7395 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd.

Police believe the suspect entered the store while it was open, then hid in the restaurant at closing before confronting one of the employees.

Officers, K-9 and Aviation responded to the scene to search the area for the suspect; however they were unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a mask, 6'2"-6'4", medium build, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes/boots.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 410-222-6135 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
