Police Seek Woman in Credit Card Theft

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said a woman stole credit cards in Hanover and then went on a shopping spree in Annapolis.

Anne Arundel County police continue to look for a woman who they say stole a credit card from a Hanover restaurant and then went shopping in Annapolis.

Police released a surveillance image of the woman, who is wanted in connection with a credit card theft on May 14. Police said she obtained the cards illegally at the Panera Bread in Hanover, then used them at the Westfield Annapolis Mall and at the Nordstrom Rack store at the Annapolis Harbor Center.

Anyone with information on the woman’s identity can call Detective Sweeney of Anne Arundel County Police Department’s western district at 410-222-6155.

Alternatively, they can call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP, or text “MCS plus your message” to CRIMES (274637.) Calllers will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.

Is she really that wide, or has the picture been stretched out of correct ratio?

Patch does not alter images it receives from the police in any way, nor would we alter the shape of a person in any of our pictures.

I knew that, I was kind of being facetious. Then when I saw the Official Press Release, there it was, just as you posted it. Hope someone recognizes her!

I figured you were most likely kidding, but I just wanted to clarify for anyone who might wonder about our policy on that issue.
