An Annapolis jewelry store owner trumped a would-be robber who tried to hold up the business by carrying a bigger gun.

Two men walked into the Adore Jewelry store located in the 2000 block of West Street in Annapolis at 11:23 a.m. March 4. Police said one of the suspects confronted an employee with a handgun pulled from his waistband.

The business owner then retrieved his shotgun and confronted the armed suspect, according to the Anne Arundel County Police. Seeing that they were outgunned, the suspects fled in a dark-colored vehicle.

The victim was not hurt. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Police describe the first suspect as a black man in his 30s, about 6'0” with a thin build and a beard, wearing all dark clothing and carrying a backpack.

The second suspect was a black man with a heavy build, wearing all dark clothing and carrying a backpack.

So now the Store owner will be sent to jail for keeping a gun in the store and pointing it at another gentle, loving, caring, hard working human.

Seriously?? A citizen with a gun thwarted violence? And no one got hurt?? Say it isn't so!!! Someone needs to call all the anti-second amendment folks and figure out how on earth that happened!! /sarcasmoff

Kudos to the store owner! If citizens were allowed to carry, more thugs would think twice before trying to rob (or worse) them.
