Severn River Bridge Wreck Sends 7 to Hospital

Two victims had serious injuries, but none were life-threatening, an official said.

A three-car accident on U.S. 50 east near the Severn River BRidge Sunday morning resulted in one vehicle rolling over, and hospitalized seven victims, according to a fire department spokesman.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, according to a Maryland State Police representative.

The accident occurred at about 8:55 a.m. Sunday morning, and shut down westbound traffic for about 30 minutes while emergency officials cleared the scene, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Michael Cox.

Cox said the three-vehicle accident resulted in seven victims—two of whom suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, and the remaining five were transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries.
