Tow Truck Theft Costs Annapolis Man His Income

Lifelong Annapolis resident Terrell Martin lost the majority of his revenue stream when someone stole his tow truck while he slept.

An Annapolis man is faced with the loss of about 80 percent of his income after someone stole his tow truck from Newtowne Drive near Juliana Circle.

Terrell Martin, 28, started Martin's Towing about two years ago on his own after he saved up to buy a black 2006 Ford flatbed tow truck.

"I just think it's crazy," Martin said. "After working so hard trying to get the truck, I finally got it and this happens."

said someone stole the vehicle between 8 p.m. Aug. 13 and 9 a.m. Aug. 14. The tow truck has Martin’s Towing written on the driver’s and passenger’s side doors.

Martin said he's hopeful the police will be able to locate the truck since it represents "major income" for him. He said he has full-coverage insurance, but it could take weeks for the company to reimburse him.

He said he also works as a taxicab driver, but the majority of his income came from his tow truck.

If anyone has information about Martin's truck please contact:

Metro Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-866-7LOCKUP. Calls are not recorded and callers remain anonymous.
