Unlucky 13 Charged for Prostitution by Police

Undercover Anne Arundel County detectives posing as escorts charged 13 men trying to pay for sexual acts.

Anne Arundel County Police Department recently charged 13 men with soliciting officers posing as prostitutes in the Linthicum hotel district.

Throughout May, undercover detectives posed as escorts on various websites. The detectives received solicitations of sexual acts for payment from men and met with the potential customers in response to the internet advertisements.

The 13 suspects and their charges are:

  • Gregory Walker, 19, of Reading, PA, charged with prostitution.
  • James Sawyer Jr., 42, of Glen Burnie, charged with prostitution.
  • Wendell Patrick, 55, of Annapolis, charged with prostitution.
  • Michael Silva, 46, of Matthews, NC, charged with prostitution.
  • Kyle Jirsa, 23, of Bel Air, charged with prostitution.
  • Michael Laukhart, 56, of Severna Park, charged with prostitution, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense.
  • Jeffrey Brescia, 50, of Fulton, MD, charged with prostitution, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense.
  • Joseph Laforce Jr., 30, of Catonsville, charged with prostitution.
  • Moctarwaled Mkhaitratt, 25, of Alexandria, VA, charged with prostitution.
  • Christopher Campos, 30, of Rome, NY, charged with prostitution, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree sex offense.
  • Jonathan Hayes, 43, of Richardson, TX, charged with prostitution.
  • Christopher Drzal, 33, of Elkridge, charged with prostitution.

Don't these Cops have any real criminals to lock up with our tax dollars? And for the Manager of this Patch page. I hope one of these peoples names above that you so conveniently posted in your paper sues you azz of for being a Dick.

I do think it's entirely unnecessary to list these people's names. This can be humiliating for them and their children/families.

I completely agree.. there is more than just the men arrested to be hurt by posting their names. Completely uncalled for.
