But where can you find fresh, local food in Annapolis?
The Maryland's Best website lists the following places to buy local produce, seafood, etc.:
- (Thursdays 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; 580 Taylor Ave.)
- (Sundays 8:30 a.m. to noon; 100 Compromise St.)
Also, Maryland Table, in the newly re-opened Market House, offers fresh produce and other things, and there is the t on Fridays. My Butcher and More in the Clock Tower Shopping Center offers beef from Roseda Farms in Monkton, MD.
In addition, at Monday's city council meeting, Annapolis Mayor Josh Cohen and Maria Broadbent, director of neighborhood and environmental programs, encouraged residents to take part in "Buy Local Week."
As part of its Sustainable Annapolis program, the city of Annapolis' website recognizes several restaurants in and around the city that serve local products and take part in other green initiatives.
