Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday

The Annapolis Fire Department recommends changing your smoke detector's batteries when you change your clock.

Those 7:30 a.m. commutes are about to get a little brighter. Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Remember, you'll "fall back" by setting your clocks back one hour. Many electronic devices automatically adjust when Daylight Saving Time begins or ends.

The Annapolis Fire Department suggested that residents also change the batteries in all of their smoke detectors when they change the time on their clocks.

If city residents cannot afford a smoke detector, Annapolis's firefighters will provide and install one at no cost, according to a press release.

Daylight Saving Time begins again on March 10, 2013.

Fun Fact: Arizona, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not observe Daylight Saving Time.
