Committee To Review Redistricting Options in Crofton

An organizational meeting will be held next week. The group also could discuss plans for the proposed elementary school to serve the Two Rivers development.

A special committee on Monday will begin reviewing options to alleviate overcrowding at schools in Crofton, and will also examine the potential boundaries of a proposed new elementary school.

Yeah, that's my point, I think they are selling something half-baked. "Oh, don't worry about capacity because we will be opening a new school soon right across MD3!" The School Board doesn't care though - they are appointed, not elected. Thus, apparently all of the politically risky decisions are made by them. Why bother voting for a County Executive when his or her decisions are rendered moot by whatever the appointees on the AA County School Board want?

When I received the daily patch email, I thought this article would be about the Congressional redistricting plan on the Md. Ballot come Nov. 6th. to alert or inform people of what is goin on in our state and how it affect Anne Arundel Counties gerrymandered districts.
