Navy football fans can meet the 2012 team, take pictures and win prizes at Fan Fest from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
“FanFest is a great opportunity for Navy fans to get autographs from all their favorite players and have a chance to have a conversation with them," said Scott Strasemeier, associate athletic director for the Naval Academy. "For two straight hours our players will be available to meet and greet all of our loyal supporters.”
Fan Fest is free, and the first 250 kids through the gate will take home a free Navy football T-shirt. There will be interactive inflatable games, giveaways and live music. According to a press release, fans also can purchase football tickets and merchandise.
The team's offense will sign autographs on the blue (press box) side concourse from 10 to 10:45 a.m., while the defense takes the field to interact with fans and take pictures.
Then they will switch, and the defensive players will sign autographs on the blue side concourse from 10:45-11:30 a.m., while the offensive players are down on the field.
Fan Fest visitors should enter through Gate 5 off Taylor Avenue and come into the stadium through the blue or press box side. Parking at the stadium will cost $5.
The next chance for Navy football fans to scope out the 2012 team will be at the annual Blue-Gold BBQ and Scrimmage at noon on Aug. 11.
