The arrest of Jimmy Smith Saturday night in Towson was the latest in a series of off-season brushes with the law for the Ravens. The cornerback was cited for failing to obey a lawful order when an officer told him to leave a bathroom in The Greene Turtle, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

"We're gathering information about this," Ravens spokesman Kevin Byrne said in a statement after the incident, which noted this was the fifth player arrested this off season.

Over Memorial Day weekend, rookie running back Lorenzo Taliaferro was charged with public drunkenness and destruction of property in his hometown of Williamsburg, VA. He is slated to appear in court on July 31, according to ESPN.

In March, lineman Jah Reid was charged with battery after a brawl at a bar called the Red Garter Saloon in Key West, FL. Charges will be dropped if he successfully completes a 12-month probation period, ESPN reported.

In late February, wide receiver Deonte Thompson was arrested in Gainesville, FL, on marijuana possession charges. Those charges were dropped based on insufficient evidence, according to CBS Sports.

In mid February, running back Ray Rice was charged with assaulting his fiancée (now wife) during a scuffle at an Atlantic City casino. He was accepted into a pretrial intervention program, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Loser post, Kidd. Go root for the Indian-hating Redskins. Sounds like that would be more your style.

Well Michael, if he is looking for a team with less than five players arrested this off-season, then yes, the Redskins would be more his style.
