Several Friends of mine were in the habit of having a nice dinner at Maria's every month for several years. We were known the the people there, and we tipped freely.
One year, when the boat show was in town, we went to east there and noticed the prices bumped up by about 20% on a different menu. We mentioned to management that we were regularcustomers from Annapolis, and could we pay regular prices, and they were adamangt about refusing that. I understand they have a business to run, their rent is exhorbitant, and the boat shows are an important source of income every year. However, cutomer loyaly is a big part of any business, and I think price gouging is not conducive to that.. They showed none to us, so we are showing no loyalty to them. We have never gone back, and never will.
