Nando's Peri-Peri opened in the Annapolis mall in the summer of 2010, much to the excitement of flame-grilled chicken fans who dined at the other two locations in D.C. A host will give you a table number when you arrive and then you order at the counter. The "Peri-ometer" lets you choose your heat preference from mild to extra hot. Appetizers include red pepper dip and peri-peri nuts (fiery almonds, cashews and macadamias). Nando's offers salads and sandwiches, pitas and wraps filled with chicken, steak or vegetables. The main attraction is the peri-peri chicken but don't forget to order one of the healthy sides like butternut squash with grilled corn, red onion, dried cranberries and cilantro. Give peas a chance and try the macho peas, which are seasoned with parsley, mint and chili. Nando's is across from Chipotle and has an outdoor seating area.
