Man Charged in Connection with Gym Thefts
Anne Arundel County police charged an Annapolis man in connection with at least five thefts from the lockers at 24 Hour Fitness in the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole.
Anne Arundel County police Saturday arrested and charged a man they said is responsible for a series of thefts from 24 Hour Fitness in Parole. Police allege that the man had earlier broken into lockers at the gym and stole wallets from them. He would then use the stolen credit cards at area businesses, according to a police press release. Police charged Roger Stephen Marcus, 43, of the unit block of Hudson Street in Annapolis, with multiple counts of theft and other related charges. Police said gym employees noticed a man walking around inside the gym Saturday afternoon and thought they recognized him from surveillance photos that police had released earlier.
