The following information was provided by the Annapolis Police Department: May 6—Annapolis police said a man was leaving a bank in the unit block of West Street at 5 p.m. on May 6 when two armed suspects approached him. The suspects reportedly took the man’s cell phone and money. May 8-13—Scrap metal items were reported stolen from a fenced business lot in the 1800 block of Margaret Avenue. Police said items taken include: eight aluminum vehicle rims, aluminum wire, two 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle fenders and a Chevelle gas tank, three bronze crates, a trailer hitch and other scrap metal. In a separate incident, police reported that a vehicle was stolen on Roosevelt Street Saturday afternoon.
The following information was provided by the Annapolis Police Department: April 6—Annapolis police arrested an Annapolis man after he broke into a home on Silopanna Road on Monday morning. A woman returned to her home in the unit block of Silopanna Road and found a man she did not know inside her house at about 6:45 a.m. Monday, according to a police report. The man reportedly left the home and the woman called police. Officers located the man walking away from the home with jewelry belonging to the resident in his possession. Police arrested and charged him with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary and theft under $100. He is being held on $5,000 bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. The Annapolis Police Department reported the following incidents: A dark green Mercedes 320 four-door sedan was stolen from a driveway on the 1200 block of Madison Street between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday. The car has a Maryland license plate: GNS708. Police said a set of keys were recently misplaced and the car was left unlocked. A black and orange backpack containing tools and HVAC gauges was stolen from a vehicle on the unit block of Peters Way between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday. Police said one of the vehicle’s windows was left halfway down. A report says a home in the 7500 block of Turner Road was broken into early Wednesday morning.
Anne Arundel County police are searching for three suspects they said broke into an Annapolis home early Wednesday morning. Officers responded to the 7500 block of Turner Road in Annapolis around 1 a.m. on Wednesday for a report of a home invasion, according to a police press release. Police said a male victim reported that a woman knocked on the door and forced her way into the home, along with two men armed with handguns. The three suspects took items and money from the house and then fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. A preliminary investigation indicates that this is a targeted incident and not a random act of violence, police said. Annapolis police charged three teens in a burglary on the 1000 block of President Street on Wednesday morning. A witness called police when she reportedly saw three boys enter a home through the rear window at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. Police said officers arrived on scene and arrested three 15-year-olds from Annapolis inside the home. The teens were charged on juvenile citations with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary; theft under $1,000; and trespassing, according to police.

Annapolis police responded to a number of incidents in the city during the past week. April 4—A vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Homewood Lane had its driver’s side window smashed. The vehicle had been ransacked, but nothing was taken. Previously this vehicle had been left unlocked and a large amount of money stolen from it, according to police. April 5—An unsecured bicycle was stolen from the 1200 block of Virginia Street. The bike was taken from the front porch of a home, and is described as a 24-inch, girls mountain bicycle that is purple with an orange stripe. Miguel Avelar Medina was arrested in a string of incidents near Forest Hills Avenue.
Annapolis police arrested and charged a local man who they say was involved in several indecent exposure incidents in the Forest Hills Avenue area. Miguel Avelar Medina, 29, of Annapolis was charged Tuesday with three counts of second-degree assault, three counts of indecent exposure and three counts fourth-degree sex offense. Detectives from the Annapolis Police Department were able to identify and charge Medina after asking citizens to look out for a vehicle that was linked to several indecent exposure cases on Friday. Annapolis police were assisted by Montgomery County police officers in serving the two arrest warrants to Medina in the 11100 block of Viers Mill Road in Wheaton. See Also:

Annapolis police say a black Honda two-door sedan may be linked to recent incidents.
The Annapolis Police Department released information Friday afternoon about a car that may be linked to several indecent exposure cases in the area surrounding Forest Hills Avenue. Police said the car is a black Honda two-door sedan. They described the suspect in the indecent exposures as a Hispanic male in his 30s with a medium build with black, spiked hair and a piercing in one ear. Police said the keys to the car may have been taken during a separate incident on Feb. 25.
Police said someone stole a Lexus from the driveway of a home in Annapolis sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning. An unknown suspect took a green 2008 Lexus RX350 SUV from the driveway of a home in the unit block of Danielle Court between 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Police said the spare key for the car may have been taken from the unsecured vehicle during an unreported theft that occurred on Feb. 25. The car has a MD license plate number of 957M228.
