iPad, Copper Wire Stolen From Annapolis Public Works

Police estimate the total loss to the city at $3,500.

Someone stole $3,500 worth of copper wire and electronics from a temporary storage facility at the Annapolis Public Works Department, according to police. A utility supervisor for Annapolis told police on Monday that a recycling bin full of stripped copper wire was missing from the garage located at 610 Taylor Ave. The theft took place sometime between the evening of Oct. 24 and the morning of Oct. 25. The supervisor also told police that an iPad was stolen from the supervisor's office sometimes between August and September. Police reported the value of the iPad at $3,000 and the copper wire at $500. Every employee that works out of that location would have had access to the stolen items, according to the report.
