Dream Leads Annapolis Woman to $50K Lottery Win
Sarah Bird says her grandmother came to her in a dream and told her "play the five."
An Annapolis woman is $50,000 richer thanks to a dream she had about her late grandmother. "I moved to Maryland to care for my grandmother who was in failing health," Sarah Bird said in a news release. “After she passed, I had a dream where she told me to ‘play the five.’ I had no idea what it meant until I realized that the lottery had a game with '5' in its name. I put two and two together.” Bird said she started playing Maryland's Bonus Match 5 as often as she could after the dream, which happened in June 2012.
