UPDATE: Fire Officials Charge Teen with Arson
A 17-year-old Annapolis boy was arrested in connection with an elevator fire at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
UPDATE (1 p.m.)—Anne Arundel County Fire Investigators arrested a 17-year-old Annapolis boy for arson Tuesday evening on charges related to an elevator fire at the Health Sciences Building of Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC). He was issued a juvenile citation that charged him with first-degree arson, second-degree malicious burning, malicious destruction of property less than $500 and reckless endangerment. County firefighters responded to a reported fire alarm sounding at AAMC, which is located at 2000 Medical Parkway, around 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
