Police say someone stole a television, computers and gaming consoles.
A homeowner in the 1000 block of Kensington Way reported that someone stole $6,440 worth of electronics from his home on Wednesday, according to Annapolis police. The man told officers that he left his house around 8 a.m. and returned at 6:45 p.m. Once home, he noticed his television in the living room was missing and called police. Officers searched the house with the homeowner and discovered that a person or persons stole a 40-inch flat-screen television, two MacBook laptops, Mac mini, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Nintendo Wii, gaming controllers and video games. Someone also ripped a surge protector off a bedroom wall in a possible attempt to take another flat-screen television that was mounted on it. Police said there were no signs …

The latest version of Apple's superphone hits the shelves Friday morning.
If you're one of those people that just needs the iPhone 5 as soon as it's available, local stores will be making accommodations for you for the Sept. 21 release. Large crowds are predicted at the Westfield Annapolis mall Apple store, said mall spokeswoman Barbara Feldes. The mall will open its doors at 8 a.m. Friday. People who want to make sure they get the phone first can line up beforehand by the first-floor entrance in the red garage next to J.C. Penney. But don't try to line up Thursday night. "We do not allow people to camp overnight on the walkways or anything," Feldes said. "People have to stay inside their cars." A Grammy nominated artist stopped by Annapolis on Thursday. Leslie Feist, an indie singer-songwriter who goes by her last name professionally, performed at Rams Head On Stage . Feist stopped by the popular concert venue en route to a sold-out show at Strathmore in Bethesda, said Valerie Wierenga, marketing director of Rams Head. The private radio showcase was hosted by radio station WRNR. "She and the band played four songs to (approximately) 160 people and then went on their merry way," Wierenga wrote in an email.
