$78,000 in Boat Parts Stolen From Annapolis Business
Annapolis police say a series of outdrive thefts from repossessed boats has left a National Liquidator manager wondering if it's an inside job.
Two high performance outdrives were stolen from a 42-foot racing boat for sale by National Liquidators, according to Annapolis Police. A person or persons drove into a boat yard—where the company stores repossessed boats—in the 7000 block of Bembe Beach Road sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. They stole two Mercury Racing #6 Outdrives from one boat, which was on stilts. Police valued the outdrives, which weigh 150 pounds each, at $78,000. A manager for National Liquidators told police that 10 days prior to Monday's theft someone stole the outdrives from another boat his company was selling.
