Police Charge Man with Toilet Paper Theft

An Annapolis man captured with packages of toilet paper and paper towels has been charged with second-degree burglary and theft of less than $100, according to police. An Annapolis officer said he was turning around his patrol car in the 200 block of President Street when he noticed a garage door was open. The door had been shut when he drove down the street minutes earlier, and he noticed a man walking down President Street in the direction of Tyler Avenue. The officer stopped Nathaniel Junior Sollars, 51, of Annapolis, who was carrying two large packages—one being Bounty paper towels and the other being Members Mark toilet paper. The homeowner is lucky he didnt go into her house. He did a crime and should be punished for it. He could have done a lot more and maybe he has in the past and this is the first time he got caught. more ›
