Meet the Chef: Ricardo Bello, Executive Chef of Carrol’s Creek Café

Patch recently interviewed the man behind the scenes at Eastport’s popular waterfront restaurant, which specializes in seafood and American cuisine.

Ricardo Bello is a softspoken, good-natured dad who likes to hit the gym on his days off. It’s a good thing he likes to keep in shape because he does have a physically demanding job: he’s in charge of the large, bustling kitchen that serves up crab cakes, scallops, steaks and more to Carrol’s Creek Café’s clientele, which includes a substantial percentage of regular customers. Bello’s palate favors European professional cookery, French in particular, and he also has a fondness for Maryland standards: crab cake and crab soup. The sunset and marina views at Carrol’s Creek Café are a knockout, making it a destination restaurant for special occasion dinners.
