Annapolis Police reported a burglary Friday that occurred earlier in the month on Locust Avenue. According to police, between 2:15 a.m. and 2:40 a.m. on April 6, a suspect entered an unlocked window of a building on the 200 block of Locust Avenue, and took a lava lamp, USB drive and an iPhone charger. Thief takes two diamond rings and two flat screen televisions after breaking in through a kitchen window.
Police say someone broke into an Annapolis home Friday night and stole $6,200 worth of jewelry, clothing and electronics. Officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Kensington Way around 2 a.m. on Saturday morning for a report of a burglary. The woman told police she left the house around 7 p.m. on Friday and returned home to find her living room television missing and glass on her kitchen floor. She left the house and called police. When the woman searcher her home with officers she discovered that a Panasonic video camera, a Nikon digital camera, a Vizio 47-inch flat screen television, a Dynex 27-inch flat screen television, four pair of Seven brand jeans, two diamond rings and some costume jewelery were stolen. Police say someone stole $500 worth of tools from a construction site near Germantown Elementary.
A construction worker had $500 worth of tools stolen from a construction site near Germantown Elementary on Friday, according to Annapolis police. Officers responded to the 1400 block of Cedar Park Road around noon. The man said that he left the site for lunch around 11 a.m. Friday. When he returned, the man told police his Milwaukee tool kit with hammer drill, impact driver, sawsall, flashlight and batteries was missing. The man told police that he left his tools on a work car inside an interior room of the construction site. Police located a witness who saw someone enter the site from Locust Avenue, look around and walk towards where the worker had left his tools. The witness didn't see the suspect leave with the tools.

The homeowner told Annapolis police that a man knocked on his door claiming to be owed money for raking leaves.
Annapolis Police are looking for a man who reportedly forced his way into a home in the 1100 block of Tyler Avenue after claiming he was owed money for yard work. The homeowner told police that a man came to his door on Thursday around 7 p.m. saying he cleaned up leaves in the yard for the homeowner's son but was never paid. The owner reportedly responded by saying he didn't know anything about the arrangement. He told police that the man then forced his way into the kitchen but left when he threatened to call the police. After the man left, the homeowner realized his wallet was missing from the kitchen.

Someone stole a PlayStation 3 and three games from an apartment on Newtowne Drive.
Nearly $500 worth of electronics were stolen out of an apartment on Newtowne Drive on Monday, according to Annapolis Police. Police said the tenant left her apartment around 4 p.m. on Monday and returned at 9 p.m. She told police she entered her apartment as usual but soon discovered her PlayStation 3 and three games were missing. Police said she asked her landlord to change the locks.

Police say approximately $750 was stolen from a house while the homeowner was away.
Someone stole between $625 to $750 from a home in the 400 block of Harwood Place, according to Annapolis police. The homeowner told police that he returned on Nov. 8 from staying with a friend to discover his back door and its frame were damaged. Police said they observed pry marks on the door and a broken deadbolt. Police said the house appeared to be gone through but not ransacked—which made them think the thief knew where the homeowner kept the money.

An Annapolis man captured with packages of toilet paper and paper towels has been charged with second-degree burglary and theft of less than $100, according to police. An Annapolis officer said he was turning around his patrol car in the 200 block of President Street when he noticed a garage door was open. The door had been shut when he drove down the street minutes earlier, and he noticed a man walking down President Street in the direction of Tyler Avenue. Annapolis Police arrested a man in connection with a burglary in the 800 block of Brook Court after the homeowner identified him early Friday morning. Police said the woman was sitting on her couch in her living room around 3:30 a.m. Friday when she heard noises coming from the kitchen window. Then she heard the window open, police said. The woman told police she opened the mini blinds and saw that the window had been opened, and there was a man staring back at her. She reportedly asked him what he was doing, but he didn't respond. A man discovered his mother's house was burglarized after he went to see if she had returned from vacation.
A 72-year-old man went to see if his mother had returned from her trip only to discover her home in the 100 block of Clay Street had been burglarized, according to Annapolis Police. The man arrived at his mother's house on Tuesday around noon to see if she had returned from her out of town trip, police said. He discovered a window broken and glass all over the kitchen floor. Police are investigating whether there is a connection between a string of burglaries at homes being renovated in Annapolis. "They all seem like they've been left unsecured by people coming and going," Detective Amy Miguez said. "We don't know if they are related or not."
