District 6 Election Presents 'Clear Choice'
District 6 County Council candidates disagree on which issues matter to voters.
The District 6 County Council Democratic primary pitted Chris Trumbauer, a 35-year-old environmental and civic leader, against Chuck Ferrar, a 67-year-old small-business owner. Although the primary battle is over and Trumbauer now faces Republican Doug Burkhardt in the general election, much of the dichotomy remains the same. Trumbauer now faces another businessman, Doug Burkhardt, who runs Annapolis-based consulting firm the Monticello Group. Both candidates have begun framing the election, albeit on very different terms.
