Annapolis City Hall Undergoing Renovations

People who want to attend Council or committee meetings need to use the back staircase for the next two to three weeks.

Large sections of City Hall's second floor—including the front staircase—are closed for renovations for the next two to three weeks. People who want to attend committee meetings or the City Council meeting on Nov. 26 will need to use the elevator or back staircase, said city spokeswoman Rhonda Wardlaw. Residents will also need to enter Council chambers using the blue double doors located near the rear of the second floor because the main entrance is closed. Truman Park and Ride Construction Halfway There

The improvements to the Park and Ride facility off of Riva Road in Annapolis should be completed by spring.

As snow covers Greater Annapolis, many residents may already be gearing up for the warmth of spring. For those who commute to Washington D.C. using the Harry S. Truman Parkway Park and Ride, spring will also bring an added bonus — more parking spots. While commuters are currently dealing with construction at the lot run by the State Highway Administration (SHA), the work should be completed by spring, according to SHA spokesman Charlie Gischlar. "Construction is about 55 percent complete," said Gischlar in an e-mail interview. The project, which "isn't completely stopped due to weather," won't be fully completed until area temperatures rise.
