Thief Goes on $6,300 Shopping Spree with Stolen Credit Cards
Annapolis police say the cards were stolen from a purse left inside a convertible in Eastport.
A thief stole a woman's purse from her convertible and went on a $6,300 shopping spree with her credit cards, according to Annapolis police. The woman told officers that she locked her $1,200 Jimmy Choo purse inside her 2004 Volvo XC70 on Friday after parking it in her driveway in the 800 block of Chester Avenue. The purse contained her wallet with credit cards, driver's license and cash. She noticed the purse was missing Friday afternoon, but told officers she thought she might have misplaced it. She discovered it was taken on Sunday after her credit card company called about potential fraudulent charges. The person or persons charged $4,931 on her American Express and $1,398 on her Macy's card before she could cancel the cards. Police …
