Make your walks more fun through organized walks for charity.

There is a secret that many daily walkers won’t tell you. You may hear how much we love walking. You may see us out there almost every day covering the mile. But what you don’t see is the struggle. We don’t always want to walk. We don’t always wake up ready to lace up our shoes and head out the door. More often than most of us would like to admit, fitting our daily walk in is a chore. Often we look for tricks to fall back on. We walk different routes. We change our pace, throwing some fast miles in with some slow. I have even known walkers who add odd jumps, skips and hops into the middle of their run just to make the walk more enticing. Local Musician to Host a Concert for a Cause

The event, taking place at the Whiskey on Friday night, will raise money for Brian Stodd, who is currently awaiting a kidney transplant.

Local musician Colin Stodd is using the power of music to do something positive for someone he cares about. His brother, Brian Stodd currently receives dialysis and is awaiting a kidney transplant. He was diagnosed with diabetes at age 14. He turned 33 on Dec. 4th. Colin has been a part of the mid-Atlantic music scene for a decade, playing drums for Earthtone and a number of other local bands. He's been Brian's little brother for much longer. He recently combined his love of these two things for a special fundraiser.  Colin answered a few questions from Patch Columnist Alexis Weber about the fundraiser. These are his responses.
