Woman Robbed, Threatened with Rape in Eastport

Police say a man told an Annapolis woman he had a gun, grabbed her purse and hit her.

An Annapolis woman reported being threatened with rape during a robbery in Eastport early Saturday morning, according to Annapolis Police. The woman told officers she was walking alone on Bay Ridge Avenue near Adams Street around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when a man approached her from behind. He reportedly said, "I am gong to rape you if you don’t follow my order." She told police the man said he had a gun, grabbed her purse and hit her in the back of the head. According to police, the woman said she fell on the sidewalk and struggled to keep her purse but the man eventually managed to get the bag and fled toward Eastport Elementary School. She had an iPhone, wallet, driver's license and house keys inside the purse, according to a police report…

City Police Seek Public's Help After Armed Robbery

The robbery took place at the Royal Farms Store in Eastport early Tuesday morning.

Detectives from the Annapolis Police Department (APD) want the public's help in identifying the suspect of an armed robbery that took place in Eastport early Tuesday morning. According to an APD news release, the robbery took place at the Royal Farms store in the 400 block of Sixth Street at around 5:30 a.m. The masked suspect entered the store armed with a handgun, city police said. Photos of the suspect taken from surveillance inside the store accompany this story. Police describe the suspect as being between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a thin build.
