The principal of Germantown Elementary, Walter Reap, has been named a top regional educator by The Washington Post. Reap, who has been principal at Germantown since 2007, has seen his school transform, both physically into a new building, and academically through new elementary school initiatives that have changed the way classes are taught at Germantown. For his achievements through leadership, The Washington Post announced Reap as the recipient of the Distinguished Educational Leadership award.
