Rotary Club Wants Applications For Crab Feast Proceeds
The Annapolis club has more than $50,000 to give out in grants this year.
Annapolis' Rotary Club is looking for recommendations from now until Jan. 15 for how to spend the more than $50,000 it raised during its 67th annual crab feast. In order to qualify, the applicant(s) must spend the money in a way that improves "the quality of life for the Annapolis community, and touch as many people as possible," according to a press release. The 2012 crab fest held in August at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium brought in around 2,500 diners and drinkers. Volunteers served up 40,000 crabs, 130 gallons of crab soup, 3,400 ears of corn and 60 kegs worth of beer.
