AAMC doc already has more than $70,000 in winnings after winning three days on the popular game show.
Jay Rhee will need to dig deeper into his collection of humorous anecdotes when he makes yet another appearance Thursday night on Jeopardy! He has already told Alex Trebek and a national TV audience about his money-eating dog, a regrettable over-exposure at Red Lobster, and a less than perfect first date with his future wife. But this is a good problem to have. Rhee, an oncologist at Anne Arundel Medical Center, will compete again on Thursday night’s broadcast of Jeopardy! having won for the third straight time Wednesday night. Rhee took home an additional $25,601 for a three-day total of more than $70,000. AAMC doctor is back Wednesday night for Round 3 after a narrow win by $2.
Anne Arundel Medical Center oncologist Dr. Jay Rhee continued his success on Jeopardy! Tuesday night. Rhee added $21,601 to his winnings, making his two-day total more than $45,000. His competitors Tuesday night included Scott Goldstein, a comedy writer/director for Second City based out of Chicago, and Julianna Suchard, a homemaker and community volunteer from California. Rhee started the game strong, scoring in a variety of categories including, “Team Players,” “'Ghoul'-lash," “South American Geography,” and “State the Senator.” Goldstein and Suchard both scored well in the Double Jeopardy round, leaving the final outcome in doubt leading up to Final Jeopardy. Our family was so impressed when we met Dr. Rhee a few weeks back in a medical consultation. Now we all - Joy, Mike, and Marie along with Bud and I - are amazed at the breadth of his knowledge. Musical theater is one of my strengths, and he answered at least two questions in that category that were beyond my knowledge. We'll all be tuned in at 7 pm this evening cheering him on.   more ›
