Police: Driver Smelled Marijuana on School Bus
An Annapolis High School student was charged with intent to distribute drugs on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
Anne Arundel County police said a student was found with marijuana on a school bus in the parking lot of Annapolis High School on Wednesday. Luis Enrique Mireles-Ruiz, 18, of Annapolis was charged as an adult and arrested on multiple charges, including intent to distribute drugs on school property and dangerous weapon possession for having a pocket knife. The incident occurred on Wednesday at about 2:15 p.m. when a school bus driver noticed a strong odor of suspected marijuana coming from the rear of the bus, police said. The driver walked to the back of the bus and found Mireles-Ruiz holding a prescription-style bottle containing suspected marijuana, according to a police press release.
