Readers' Choice: Sandwiches at My Butcher and More

You voted the butcher shop and deli in Clock Tower Place as the best place in Annapolis to get sandwiches.

"We actually had people coming in for the first time so they could make a vote yeh or nay I guess we won them over." One of the most popular sandwiches is named after the owner: The Smollonator features roast beef, lettuce, tomato, onion and horseradish sauce. New Bakery Opening in Clock Tower Plaza

Sweet Hearts Patisserie is aiming to open in mid-March, offering "fine handmade pastries."

Kristen D'Angelo earned a following in Fairfax, VA, over the past few years baking from her home and becoming a familiar face at farmers markets there. "I've always wanted to have my own bakery," she said Wednesday afternoon as contractors and electricians buzzed around the shop. "This just seemed like the perfect spot." D'Angelo said she already feels at home with the other shops, such as My Butcher and More and Wine Cellars of Annapolis, that help give the small…

Scenes from Greater Annapolis

In case you missed it, Patch didn't. Take a look at what was happening around Greater Annapolis in the past week.

Every day there is so much going on in Greater Annapolis and Patch is out there with cameras at the ready to help share just a slice of our local life. Check back each week for a photo gallery of local events, people and places. Greater Annapolis Patch brings you another diverse slideshow this week with a quiz on one photo. See if you know where the photo was shot. We visited a flower store with lots of goodies, a butcher shop with a wide range of offerings, refueled with some great java, took a closeup look at a dragonfly and found a new spotted friend with his pal. For more information on the businesses we stopped at this week, visit www.mybutcherandmore.com, www.gatewayflorist.us and www.zucoffee.com.   Enjoy the photos and let us know …
