A photo of the men's lacrosse team saluting a bus of World War II veterans is quickly making its rounds on social media.

A photo posted to Facebook of the U.S. Naval Academy's men's lacrosse team saluting a bus of World War II veterans has gone viral. The photo, which Navy Athletics uploaded to its Facebook page on Sunday, has garnered more than 21,000 likes and nearly 5,000 shares as of Tuesday afternoon. All those shares and likes made the department's Facebook page the second highest fan gainer in all of sports social media on Monday, and the sixth most talked about Facebook page on Tuesday, according to Sports Fan Graph.
