$78,000 in Boat Parts Stolen From Annapolis Business

Annapolis police say a series of outdrive thefts from repossessed boats has left a National Liquidator manager wondering if it's an inside job.

Two high performance outdrives were stolen from a 42-foot racing boat for sale by National Liquidators, according to Annapolis Police. A person or persons drove into a boat yard—where the company stores repossessed boats—in the 7000 block of Bembe Beach Road sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. They stole two Mercury Racing #6 Outdrives from one boat, which was on stilts. Police valued the outdrives, which weigh 150 pounds each, at $78,000. A manager for National Liquidators told police that 10 days prior to Monday's theft someone stole the outdrives from another boat his company was selling. And two to three months ago, someone stole the outdrives from a repossessed racing boat stored at Bert Jabin's Boat Yard. The manager …
