Antique Store Moves to West Annapolis
Retropolitan Fine Antiques and Vintage relocated to Annapolis from historic Ellicott City.
Visitors to the West Annapolis shopping district will find a new addition to the neighborhood: A vintage clothing and antique store called Retropolitan. The store opened its doors in mid-December after relocating from Ellicott City. "I had been in Ellicott City for 17 years, and I just decided it was time for a change," co-owner Cindi Ryland said. "I thought Annapolis would be great." The retired French and Spanish teacher found her new space at 14 Annapolis St. on Craigslist one night. "I was playing around on Craigslist, because I was starting to lose hope of finding a place and my new space popped up," Ryland said. "My future landlord knew my shop—it was kind of karma."
