A single vehicle reportedly left the road near Hunt Meadow Drive and collided head-on with a utility pole, snapping it.
One person was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries after a car left the road and hit a pole Tuesday afternoon, city of Annapolis fire officials said. The incident occurred near the intersection of Spa Road and Hunt Meadow Drive at about 2:20 p.m. A woman was trapped in the car and extricated within about 10 minutes, said Capt. John Bowes, a spokesman for the Annapolis Fire Department. Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) was called to the scene, as well, Bowes said. Rachael Lighty, a spokeswoman for BGE, said there did not appear to be any power outages in the area associated with the incident. She said BGE crews were on scene to repair and replace the pole.
