Mom of Mid Wins Army-Navy Video Contest
Vicky Vandiver and her son Vincent, who stars in the video, won free tickets to Saturday's Army-Navy game.
The mom and little brother of a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy won the school's first spirit video contest for the Army-Navy Game. The contest invited fans of both teams to submit their own spirit videos last month. The academy and West Point each chose their top three videos, and fans voted for the winners through Facebook. "The video was all my 9-year-old Vincent's idea. He admires his older brother so much and has missed him a lot since he left in June on I-Day," Vicky Vandiver said in an email. Nicholas Vandiver is a first-year student at the academy.
