Papa John's To Supply 2,500 Pizzas to Naval Academy for Super Bowl Party

The Annapolis restaurants are preparing for the surge in business on Super Bowl Sunday as they will provide pizza, wings and more to midshipmen as well as local residents.

Super Bowl Sunday is always a busy day for pizza places, as many expect to sell thousands of pizzas and wings. But this year is extra special for Annapolis area Papa John's restaurants. "We are official partners with the Naval Academy, the Baltimore Ravens, and the NFL," said Ray Sears, operating partner of the Papa John's restaurants in Annapolis, in an email to Patch. "The midshipmen have voted us as the preferred pizza for the Super Bowl this season." Papa John's was reportedly asked to supply 2,500 pizzas for a Super Bowl party for thousands of midshipmen at Dahlgren Hall. Sears said he's purchased additional ovens, a van and heaters in preparation for the big day. In addition, he's coordinated drivers and logistics between 11 …
