Sweet Hearts Patisserie: The French-themed pastry shop opened at 1410 Forest Dr. in Clock Tower Place in May of 2012, and owner Kristen D'Angelo said she's had a steady stream of customers ever since. "I guess I've learned that there's a lot of people looking for baked goods in Annapolis," D'Angelo said. "We have really steady customers, so I would say people here are really loyal." The bakery at Clock Tower Place promises a taste of France in Annapolis.
Macaroons, petit fours, cake pops—these are just a few of the delecatable offerings at a new Annapolis bakery. Sweet Hearts Patisserie celebrated its grand opening on Saturday morning at 1410 Forest Dr. in Clock Tower Place, according to a news release. "As the name might suggest, there is a lot of love that goes into each and every pastry at Sweet Hearts," said Kristen D'Angelo, owner and pastry chef, in the release. "My philosophy is that it is always better to enjoy a small bite of something heavenly than it is to eat way too much of something that is just OK. Sweet Hearts Patisserie treated customers to a soft opening this week in the Clock Tower Plaza.
Walking past Sweet Hearts Patisserie this week, it was difficult to tell the specialty bakery had just opened. Owner Kristen D'Angelo had the shelves filled with some of the petit fours and French macaroons that she said she is best known for. Still, she said there is more to come, much more. She's remodeled the bakery in the Clock Tower Plaza and said she is anxious to introduce the area to everything she has to offer.

Sweet Hearts Patisserie is aiming to open in mid-March, offering "fine handmade pastries."
Kristen D'Angelo earned a following in Fairfax, VA, over the past few years baking from her home and becoming a familiar face at farmers markets there. Now, she's in the middle of renovations in a space in the Clock Tower Plaza to open her first bakery. She is aiming to open the shop by March 12. Sweet Hearts Patisserie will feature handmade pastries, including the petit fours and French macaroons she said she is best known for.
