Thief Steals Tire From Car in Downtown Annapolis

Someone replaced a man's rear passenger tire with a concrete block while he ate dinner at a nearby restaurant.

An Annapolis man had the rear passenger tire stolen off his company car in the 100 block of West Street on Christmas, according to city police. He told police that he parked his red 2006 Dodge Charger around 6 p.m. to go eat dinner at a nearby restaurant. When he returned at about 10:30 p.m., he found a concrete block in place of the rear passenger tire. Police valued the tire and the 18-inch rim at $280, but they were unable to process the scene for prints because the man had already starting putting on the spare tire when officers arrived.
