No. 1—Secretary, Police Testify in Leopold Trial Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold's misconduct trial started in Circuit Court in Annapolis on Wednesday with jury selection. Leopold faces a five-count indictment, which includes four counts of misconduct in office and one count of fraudulent misappropriation by a fiduciary. He waived his right to a jury trial and his bench trial in front of Circuit Court Judge Dennis Sweeny started in Annapolis on Friday. No. 1—Police Earn $4,000 in 'Tips' for Special Olympics About a dozen Annapolis police officers spent a Saturday in October serving fries and refilling drinks at Red Robin for Tip-A-Cop—an annual Special Olympics fundraiser. About 244 tables opened their pockets and the Annapolis officers raised more than $4,000, according to the police department. No. 2—A Puppy Goes to School, Work Donna and Emerson Davis raised a puppy named Eaton to be a service dog for the Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) organization. Donna Emerson even took Eaton to work with her at St. Anne's School. Eaton learned how to be more than a seeing eye dog.
