In a separate incident, police reported that a vehicle was stolen on Roosevelt Street Saturday afternoon.
The following information was provided by the Annapolis Police Department: April 6—Annapolis police arrested an Annapolis man after he broke into a home on Silopanna Road on Monday morning. A woman returned to her home in the unit block of Silopanna Road and found a man she did not know inside her house at about 6:45 a.m. Monday, according to a police report. The man reportedly left the home and the woman called police. Officers located the man walking away from the home with jewelry belonging to the resident in his possession. Police arrested and charged him with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary and theft under $100. He is being held on $5,000 bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. Annapolis police reported a series of thefts from vehicles over the past week, including several expensive items taken from unlocked cars. April 25-26, Unit block of Isaacs Street—An unknown suspect entered two unlocked vehicles and took a change purse containing $10 in quarters. April 25-26, 100 block of Brightwater Drive—An unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a computer bag containing a Macbook Pro laptop. April 22-26, 600 block of Greenbriar Lane—An unknown suspect stole a 2003 Black and Tan Ford Crown Victoria taxi cab. April 25-26, 500 block of Annapolitan Lane—An unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a computer bag containing a Dell laptop.

Police say a bicycle was stolen from Forest Drive in Annapolis on Saturday night.
Annapolis police reported two more thefts from vehicles as well as a stolen bicycle. Police said sometime between 6 a.m. on Saturday and 9:15 a.m. on Monday, money and paperwork were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the unit block of Wardour Drive. In a separate incident, an unsecured 20-inch Kink Launch BMX-style bicycle was reported stolen from the 200 block of Forest Drive between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. on Saturday. Police said the bike has a bright green sprocket. A theft from a vehicle between 1 p.m. on March 28 and 10:30 a.m. on March 29 was also recently reported to police. A pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Annapolis Street. See more:

An unknown suspect faces charges for reportedly stealing a car from a parking lot on Newtowne Drive.
Annapolis police charged a yet-to-be-named suspect in connection with a car theft in the 700 block of Newtowne Drive on Sunday. The owner reported a 2000 Dodge Intrepid missing on Sunday at about 8 a.m., saying the car was parked in the lot across from the apartment on Saturday night. The owner also told police someone stole the car in October, but returned it later, so it was never reported as stolen. The owner said the car was returned with no damage and nothing was taken, according to the police report. Police found the car and charged the suspect later on Sunday.

Annapolis police say a 2007 GMC Envoy was taken from in front of a house.
A company sport utility vehicle was stolen from in front of a home in the 700 block of Melrose Avenue, according to Annapolis police. The vehicle, a beige 2007 GMC Envoy, is owned by Company’s Coming Inc.—Wild Orchid Cafe's catering division. It was being used by the homeowner, who told police it was parked in front of the house around 10 p.m. on Tuesday. When the homeowner awoke on Wednesday morning, the SUV was gone. Police said the car was reportedly left unlocked with the keys under the driver's seat. According to the report, there was no evidence of broken glass, cut wiring or drag marks in the area where the vehicle was parked. The Envoy's license plate number is 1AC8461.
